Job description
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Haukes N.V., you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our fleet of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, ADTs, tipper trucks, and other construction equipment. You will inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Job requirements
• Technical education (MBO/LTS) or equivalent
• Knowledge of HSECO standards and ability to follow them
• Experience with heavy equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems)
• Able to work independently and find solutions
• Stress-resistant and efficient under pressure
• To be able to speak and write the Dutch and English languages well
• Willing to work within Suriname
