Platform Operator (M/F)

Job Description

The Platform Operator is responsible for the safe daily operation and monitoring of all topside production facilities, utilities, and process systems. This is a hands-on operational role that requires discipline, technical proficiency, and unwavering commitment to safety. Platform Operators work within a team structure under the supervision of the Lead Operator and Control Room Operator to ensure uninterrupted, safe production output.

Responsibilities

Topside Operations & Monitoring
• Conduct routine rounds and inspections of all platform process equipment.
• Monitor process parameters (pressures, temperatures, flow rates) and report deviations.
• Operate valves, pumps, compressors, and separators per approved operating procedures.
• Perform isolation, de-isolation, and reinstatement of equipment under the PTW system.

Maintenance Support & Reporting
• Support planned and corrective maintenance activities as an authorized operator.
• Complete shift logs, operational reports, and equipment status updates accurately.
• Report all defects, anomalies, and near-misses immediately to the control room.

Safety & Emergency Response
• Participate in fire, gas, and emergency drills as assigned muster station team member.
• Maintain all personal protective equipment in serviceable condition.
• Adhere strictly to all CompEx, ATEX, and hazardous area working requirements.

Requirements
• Diploma or BSc in Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of offshore platform operations experience.
• CompEx Ex01–04 certification (mandatory for ATEX zone work).
• Permit to Work (PTW) Authorized Issuer certification.
• OPITO Operator Proficiency certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of process control systems and DCS/SCADA interfaces.
• Demonstrated HSSE commitment and behavioral safety awareness.
