We're building something that doesn't exist yet in Suriname: a young, ambitious AI & Tech hub where local talent gets a real shot at world-class technology careers, without leaving home.

Anyone can demo an LLM feature. Making one that still works on a Tuesday afternoon three months later, with real users, messy inputs and a client watching, is engineering. That's the difference between an AI demo hub and an AI hub.

That's where you come in. You'll design and ship AI features that hold up in production: agents, retrieval, tool use, and the evaluation pipelines that prove they work. You turn models into reliable product, and you help direct the fleet of AI agents the whole squad builds on. That means your judgment about what's solid and what's hype shapes everything we ship.

And because we're early, the practices you establish become the hub's playbook: how we eval, how we add guardrails, when we trust an agent and when we don't. It's the standard the next generation of Surinamese AI engineers learns from.

What you'll do
• Build LLM-powered features. Agents, RAG, tool use: designed, built and evaluated, not just prototyped. If it can't survive production, it doesn't count.
• Design retrieval and evaluation pipelines. Keep quality high and measurable in production. You treat evals as a first-class deliverable, because “it seems better” isn't an answer you accept from yourself.
• Make AI features trustworthy. Add guardrails, observability and evals so features stay reliable as models, prompts and data change underneath them.
• Turn models into product. Partner with engineers and clients to go from capability to shipped value, including the honest conversations about what AI can't do yet.
• Help direct the agent fleet. Guide the architecture and standards for the AI agents the whole squad builds on, so every team benefits from what any team learns.

What you bring
• Strong Python
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs: agents, RAG and tool use
• Frameworks like LangChain and vector databases in real projects
• Evaluation experience: you've built evals, not just read about them
• Solid prompt engineering, and the judgment to know when prompting isn't the fix
• Clear communication with engineers and clients alike

Beyond the tech: you're excited by the frontier but allergic to hype, you'd rather measure than assume, and you enjoy an environment where the playbook for production AI is still being written, by you.
