We're building something that doesn't exist yet in Suriname: a young, ambitious AI & Tech hub where local talent gets a real shot at world-class technology careers, without leaving home.

Everything the hub promises, from trustworthy analytics to models that work, sits on top of one foundation: a data platform people can rely on without thinking about it.

That's where you come in. You'll own that platform end to end: warehousing, modeling and transformation on a modern cloud stack. When an analyst pulls a number, a data scientist trains a model, or a client asks whether the data can be trusted, the honest answer traces back to your work. Your job is to make that answer yes, and fast.

And because we're early, you're not inheriting a warehouse full of someone else's compromises. The models, the naming conventions, the lineage, the standards: you get to build them right the first time, and teach the Surinamese data engineers who come after you why it matters.

What you'll do
• Own the platform. Build and own data warehousing, modeling and transformation. Not a corner of it, the whole thing. You're the person who knows how the data actually flows.
• Design pipelines that don't flinch. Reliable, performant pipelines on a modern cloud stack, built to handle growth, late-arriving data, and the occasional chaos of the real world.
• Safeguard trust in the data. Data quality, lineage and documentation are part of the job, not an afterthought. If someone asks where a number came from, there's an answer, written down.
• Serve every squad. Collaborate across teams to deliver data for analytics and AI. Your customers are internal: analysts, data scientists and AI engineers who build on what you build.

What you bring
• Strong SQL and Python
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt for warehousing and transformation
• Airflow for orchestration
• Spark for large-scale processing and Kafka for streaming
• Solid AWS experience
• The habit of documenting as you build, not after
