Build scalable data pipelines and ETL on a modern cloud stack: the delivery backbone every client engagement runs on. You own ingestion, transformation and the reliability of the data layer.
We're building something that doesn't exist yet in Suriname: a young, ambitious AI & Tech hub where local talent gets a real shot at world-class technology careers, without leaving home.
At the heart of that ambition sits a modern data platform, and every model we train and every insight we serve depends on data flowing reliably from its raw state into the shapes we need.
That's where you come in. You'll build the data pipelines that make everything else possible: the invisible engineering that turns messy, raw data into fuel for training and inference. You understand features and data mappings not as abstract concepts, but as things you've shipped, debugged and improved in production.
And because we're early, your fingerprints will be on more than code. You'll help set the engineering standards, mentor the next generation of Surinamese data engineers, and prove that world-class data work can be built right here.
What you'll do
• Design and build data pipelines. Own ETL processes end to end: from understanding what a feature needs, to mapping the data, to shipping the transformation that delivers it reliably.
• Create and maintain Airflow workflows. Apache Airflow DAGs are your daily craft. You'll design them to be readable, testable and resilient: pipelines that fail loudly, recover gracefully, and don't wake anyone up at 3 AM.
• Write code that lasts. Deliver high-quality, maintainable code that meets requirements today and doesn't become someone's regret tomorrow. As a senior engineer, the standards you set will become the standards of the hub.
• Collaborate across the team. Work in an agile environment with data scientists, platform engineers and product folks, translating between what the model needs and what the data can give.
What you bring
• Senior-level experience building data pipelines in production
• Strong Python for data engineering
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow
• Solid AWS experience
• PostgreSQL: comfortable with schemas, queries and performance
