Ship backend services in modern microservices architectures. You design APIs and data models that hold up under real client load.
We're building something that doesn't exist yet in Suriname: a young, ambitious AI & Tech hub where local talent gets a real shot at world-class technology careers, without leaving home.
Every product we ship rests on backend services that have to be fast, reliable and ready to scale: the APIs and integrations that quietly hold everything together.
That's where you come in. You'll design, build and maintain the backbone: scalable APIs in C# and ASP.NET Core, optimised database access, and clean integrations across our microservices. You're the kind of engineer who cares as much about how code reads in two years as how it runs today.
And because we're early, your standards become the hub's standards. The patterns you establish, the reviews you give, the way you approach architecture: younger Surinamese developers will learn their craft from it.
What you'll do
• Build the backend. Design, develop and maintain APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core: services that are scalable by design, not by accident.
• Make the data layer sing. Build and optimise database operations with PostgreSQL and EF Core. You know when to trust the ORM and when to drop to SQL and take the wheel.
• Set the quality bar. Ensure high code quality, maintainability and best practices. Not as a checklist, but as a habit others pick up from working with you.
• Collaborate like a senior. Give thoughtful code reviews, contribute to testing and CI/CD on GitHub, and make your teammates better in the process.
• Work in Agile/Scrum. Estimate honestly, communicate early, and keep the sprint moving.
What you bring
• 5–8 years of backend development experience
• Expert-level C#, ASP.NET Core and SQL
• Entity Framework Core and PostgreSQL
• Experience building and integrating microservices
• Understanding of server-side architecture and cloud (AWS preferred)
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies
• English at B2 level or above
